The ship of Ponce de León - The Fountain of Youth

Ponce de león is accordingly to the legend have been searching for the fountain of youth.
In this image a new group of explorers do the same thing and finds his ship after hundreds of years.
This mean they might be on the right path. But what happened to De León?
